Most interesting about Country Insurance is the fact that they have been green way before being green was cool. According to Country's website, the company has been recycling paper since 1976. Since then Country has started recycling all sorts of stuff from plastic bottles to office furniture and supplies. They even buy office carpets for the headquarters made from recycled materials.

There are other ways Country contributes to a greener future too. They give employees reusable travel mugs to use (with a discount) in the corporate cafeteria to cut down on waste. And if you eat a salad while at the cafeteria, don't worry. Your salad bowl is made of a biodegradable corn-based material.
Water is also conserved at Country's corporate HQ. All landscape irrigation is down using water from several onsite retention ponds. Further, in order not to contaminate ground water, custodial functions are performed using the least harmful chemicals that Counrty can find.
